Exceptional and prized Sparkling Blanc de Blancs vintage 2017 from Rathfinny, one of England’s top producers: case of six bottles delivered

This exceptional 2017 vintage Blanc de Blancs shows why the sparkling Sussex Rathfinny has come to be recognised as one of England’s best producers. It takes on many French Champagnes with ease. Made solely from Chardonnay and aged on lees for 36 months, it has enough depth to stand on its own, with an attractive biscuity character giving the wine good length too.

Rathfinny 2017 Blanc de Blancs is the third vintage of this elegant Sussex Sparkling wine, produced from Chardonnay grapes grown and hand-harvested on the Rathfinny Wine Estate. There is a limited production of only 9,333 bottles.

Rathfinny’s Blanc de Blancs is pale lemon in colour with flecks of gold. The nose is characterised by aromas of lemon curd, pastry and citrus blossom. The palate displays fine balance with linear acidity and creamy mouthfeel. The finish is long with salty notes, developing into richer aromas of roasted hazelnut and toast.

There will always be a limited production of this premium vintage Blanc de Blancs as they source the best grapes from across the Vineyard to blend these wines. As a result, all customers are limited to a maximum of three bottles each—except our Members, who can enjoy six-bottle cases via CountryClubuk, as well as our usual advantageous Members-only prices.
