Dramatic Fortuny Necklace: statement piece in jade, peridot and sterling silver, only £119

The Fortuny jade and peridot statement necklace is beautiful and precious. It is also perfectly in tune with the Autumn-Winter season’s chunky style and the perfect green accent with its gorgeous colours. While there was plenty of black to be seen on the catwalks—just right for jade’s pale milky green hues—the haute couture scene was peppered with striking jewel tones, all of which look wonderful with ultra-sophisticated pale jade: deep emerald, rich ruby red and garnet, and brilliant sapphire.

Meanwhile peridot is another gorgeous green gemstone, so ancient that it can be found in Egyptian jewellery from the early 2nd millennium BC. Used here to enhance the jade, the two combine to glamorous effect.

The Fortuny contains 21 solid jade stones, polished in cabochon style, designed with 40 peridot stones and a sterling silver clasp. The jade stones are 20mm and the necklace is 44cm long (just under 18in, in tune with current styles).
