Les Terres Du Roy Côtes du Rhône is a classic Côtes du Rhône Rouge which embodies the rich heritage and vibrant character of the Côtes du Rhône region of France, together with its own historic beginnings in 1612. The name ‘Terres du Roy’ translates as ‘Lands of the King’.

This, the 2023—considered one of the best vintages in the southern Côtes du Rhône—was crafted with care and precision and offers a delightful balance of fruit, spice and elegance.

It is supple, rich yet balanced with crisp acidity, a ripe, fruit-forward wine with flavours of black and red berry fruit, alongside supple tannins and juicy acidity, making it a versatile and approachable choice for a variety of occasions.

The Terres Du Roy vineyards are seven kilometres north of Avignon on land which was once Lake Rochefort and Lake Pujaut—both lakes artificially drained in 1612 to provide feuding parties with more land for agriculture.

Today, evidence of the lakes still manifests itself in the vineyard’s stony soils, covered with pebbles, and planted on hills overlooking the Pujaut plain. The vines are on average 40 years old and are farmed sustainably.

Blend of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre with no oak influence.
