The tailcoat is beautifully tailored in Ireland in fine dark grey herringbone 16oz pure wool (460g). It is totally traditional and a flattering cut: single-breasted, with a single-link front button fastening and dashing panelled back with a centre vent. The detailing is excellent, including hand-stitched lapels; and there is just one pocket in the silk lining to ensure the smooth line is maintained.

The matching trousers and waistcoat are also available, and the whole outfit comes in at about half what others pay.
