In line with the British tailoring tradition, this jacket has been carefully crafted by Gurteen, classic English tailors since the 1700s, with pure Shetland wool woven in England by Abraham Moon, a proud Yorkshire manufacturer with over 180 years of fine heritage. It boasts a textured herringbone composition, the beautifully crafted 100% pure new wool giving warmth and comfort as well as style.
The colours are a handsome melange of greys, browns and a hint of bracken, with muted overchecks in navy and heather, so that it will work perfectly over everything from a plain shirt in town to a country look, to a round-neck jumper, or even a tee and blue jeans for a cool, contemporary look.
This is a medium weight country tweed jacket which looks the part as well as keeping a man cosy and warm. It is one of those tweeds which is part of our great British heritage, it transcends fashion, yet is very GQ at the moment!
The jacket is expertly tailored in two-button style with four-button sleeves (all leather football buttons), two side vents, two straight front pockets, flapped and jetted, front breast pocket, buttonhole, and three pockets (one buttoned for security, in the smart silky contrast lining.

Gurteen is an English family run tailoring business established in Haverhill, Suffolk, in 1784, where it is still situated today. The company started life making smocks which was the general garment at that time and as the years moved on, so too did the clothing. From making Army uniforms during World War One and World War Two, to measuring up and making the suits for the English Rugby team, the company has always met a challenge. The business is still retained and managed by family members, and the passion for men’s tailoring burns as fiercely today as it did back in 1784.
