This hand-stitched pure wool navy suit with its elegant pinstripe is a beautiful, and beautifully understated, pinstriped suit. It looks and feels made to measure.
It hangs perfectly, and the pure wool cloth feels smooth and expensive. If you are looking for a new suit in which to look particularly elegant, this is one to go for. It is a really well tailored piece of workmanship, immensely flattering and with excellent line and balance.
The jacket is single breasted with two buttons and two side vents. The lapels are hand-stitched, giving that perfect fit to the body. The discreet pinstripes are perfectly matched and the buttonholes hand finished. The front pockets are flapped and jetted, there is a breast welt pocket and four interior pockets (one buttoned for valuables, one for tickets). The hand-stitched lining is a smart wine red.
The trousers are half lined to give better drape, comfort and wear, and they are flat fronted, suiting an elegant frame (if you prefer a single pleat, just let us know). There are two deep side pockets and two rear pockets.
Jacket sizes: 40-52in in short fitting, 38-52in in regular, 40-46in in long.
Trousers: 34-46in waist in short (30in length), 32-46in in regular (32in), 34-40in waist in long (34in).

The critical things to get right are the three c’s—cut, construction and cloth. The resulting jacket just looks good: close to the body, slim but not tight, no sagging shoulders nor bagginess. It was Beau Brummell who worked with the English fine cloth makers and tailors of London, setting rules in suit construction which still pertain. Hand stitching is a mark of quality; around the lapels, for example, it creates the perfect ‘roll’ to ensure the lapels lie flat. The more hand stitching, the better, important even when unseen, such as in the lining. The collar needs a felt lining to stabilise its line.
