Large, roomy, and well-made in thick, waterproof laminated canvas and tan leather, it looks the part as well as being practical—if it was in St James’s it would cost several hundred pounds.

The design is based on two roomy central compartments on each side of a sturdy leather ‘spine’. It has a mirror-image full-length flap on each side, accessible separately. The bag is easily carried with the comfortable thick leather handle or canvas shoulder strap. It can carry a gun in a special shotgun pouch between the two main compartments, accessed by means of a two-way zipped section at one end. It’s a clever touch which, with its classic military-style design, transforms it into the sort of vintage luggage that a sportsman or officer would have carried in times past.
