Classy and versatile new Italian suede 24-hour holdall, only £67

This classy new Italian suede and leather 24-hour holdall caught our eye for its soft feel, stylishly understated and unstructured design and supreme versatility. Named the Ferrara, it is a smart and fashionable everyday bag for work and short trips, relaxed enough for days away in town or country—and light and roomy. Designed and made in Italy in soft suede with smart leather handles and trim, it makes an easy-on-the-eye accessory—and at the Club price it is a real El Snippo.

Another super thing about the Ferrara is its size, lightness and easy-going nature. The two soft leather handles are in thick rolled leather, the perfect size and shape to be carried comfortably in your hand and hitched over over your shoulder. And at 42cm wide by 29cm tall and 20cm deep, but only xxx in weight, the bag is deceptively capacious enough to take everything from gym kit to overnight wardrobe. It complies with airline hand baggage allowances as a handbag—allowing you another, larger, carry-on bag—and it looks good while it works.

On the practical side, the bag has plenty of useful details: it is lined in washable material for easy cleaning, it has solid metal fittings, two smart-access zip pullers with leather tongues, and enough pockets for anybody—two highly useful exterior pockets and, within the lining, a large zipped pocket and two open pockets designed for purse, phone and other items. An extra detachable canvas shoulder strap can extend the carrying length by an extra 3ft (90cm) or more.
