This is an exceptional new tanzanite and diamond necklace of exquisite quality. The tanzanite gemstone is a glorious blue, flashing with purple and gold. It is a wonderful colour—and thanks to this stone’s unusual aura, its near-reverence by the New York jeweller Tiffany, and the likelihood that it will be mined out in the not too distant future, it is one of the world’s most coveted gemstones. Our Hatton Garden jeweller is always on the lookout for beautiful and rare examples—and this large and dramatic 11.66 carat tanzanite, mined in Tanzania, in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, hit the mark. It is not only unusual, it is fabulous, and graded the very top AAAA quality. This is a lively stone which ‘speaks’ to its viewer.
The jeweller gave this gorgeous gemstone an elegant teardrop cut, and set it in 18ct white gold accentuated with a cluster setting of high-quality diamonds with a single large accenting diamond at the top, to create a true statement piece. It is bold as well as unique. It takes a highly skilled gemstone setter to set it without damaging the stone, and because of the setting, and the quality of the tanzanite gemstone, the brilliance is special; the prism when the light is reflected is like no other. This is a gorgeous piece of jewellery that is seldom seen beyond the rarefied establishments of the top jewellers of Bond Street and elsewhere.
The 11.66 carat tanzanite is of the highest quality (AAAA) and the gemstone with its cluster setting of diamonds alone measures 20mm deep by 14mm wide. The full ‘drop’ from the chain is 30mm. The .53 carats of diamonds are excellent—very white, F in colour, and VS in quality, meaning they are flawless to the naked eye. The setting is in 18ct white gold, the 16in chain is also 18ct white gold, studded with six diamonds, and the piece is fully hallmarked in England. It arrives in a smart case for presentation, and carries an independent gemological valuation certificate and insurance valuation certificate at the full retail price, as well as a full 100% moneyback guarantee.
