Ingenious new white wine aerating and cooling carafe by Danish design company Eva Solo

Two new, rather stylish mouthblown glass carafe-aerators have arrived, this one white, which is also a really excellent cooler (and a second for red).

The shape of the carafe is extraordinary—so round it almost looks like a hogget, but stands up without a base. The white (or rosé) wine carafe really does look like a hogget—as well as being an aerator, it sits on a base which hides a freezer gel pad, keeping the wine chilled for up to four hours. The aerator is a good idea, and works well—the chiller base is a real brainwave when time is too short to fully chill white wines, and of course to keep them cold. Store the gel pad in the freezer and we guarantee you will use it often!

Both are by a Danish design company, Eva Solo, they hold .75 litres and are smartly packaged.
