The Hambledon Tweed Weekender is a classic in tweed and leather with brass fittings by Parker-Hale, the British rifle and shotgun specialists. Now that’s proper.

Squared-edge holdalls can be clunky to carry, but this Parker-Hale model has the just-right compromise: rectangular on the bottom, tapering up into a straight top which fits under your arm when carrying over your shoulder. That nameless-shape ensures the bag is as comfortable as possible.

It’s perfect for any smart trip, shooting and otherwise, since it is roomy enough to fit enough kit through its wide, expandable top opening. Handy internal pockets help organise and retrieve minor essentials.
