It comes from fully mature Beluga sturgeon (acipenser huso huso) from Gourmet House’s own Beluga farm—one reason why it is so fresh. The eggs are medium to large in size and the colours are typically light grey to nearly black, with fascinating marble effects and a wonderful sheen.

The flavour is exquisite—buttery and rich, with a subtle, nutty and sea-fresh taste—Gourmet House being known for especially fresh caviar. The texture is velvety smooth, tender, almost melting in the mouth, the eggs separating easily, ensuring a smooth, luxurious mouthfeel.
