You are invited to join the famous French Chef Patron Raymond Blanc as he celebrates the national day of France, Bastille Day, with a Summer Party at Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire: the Champagne will flow, accompanied by gourmet food from this Two Michelin Star establishment, and music from the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra among others, and a party atmosphere in the gardens of Le Manoir.
The party will start at 4pm with lashings of Champagne to welcome guests, accompanied by a feast of fresh Le Manoir canapés—and the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, performing ‘proms in the park’ style; Raymond Blanc is a great fan of this classical orchestra, and this will provide the Overture to the gathering in perfect classical style.
To welcome his guests, and remember the history and the passion which of course lies behind Bastille Day—the storming of which was a major event in the French Revolution—Raymond Blanc will welcome his guests—and invite all to sing ‘La Marseillse’ together.
After which, the party is given over to live entertainment within the beautiful Le Manoir gardens, which are a combination of English manor house style and French kitchen garden—this after all is where Raymond Blanc created his ground-breaking French-English gourmet restaurant which has become one of the world’s great hotels.
Roaming music from an acoustic duo will be a lively background to mimes, magicians and more—and all the while the chefs of Le Manoir will be out on the lawns for all to see as they prepare the culinary feast of hot food and salads which they will start to serve at 5pm—a moment to savour in the most literal of meanings. Le Manoir cuisine, holder of two Michelin stars – is celebrated the world over. After an hour of savoury culinary masterpieces to delight every gourmet guest—including caviar, lobster and more—they will be joined by the puddings—never mere desserts at Le Manoir, but exquisite creations artistic enough to look as if one might wear them to Royal Ascot!
Both will be served until even the hungriest among the gathering says, ‘Enough!’ or when 9pm arrives and service ends, ready for carriages at 9pm.
