A September Journey by Belmond British Pullman to Blenheim Palace

On Wednesday, 9 September 2026, CountryClubuk Members are invited to travel in timeless style aboard the Belmond British Pullman for an exceptional day at Blenheim Palace — the only non-royal palace in Britain and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

Departing from London Victoria, this five-star rail experience combines Champagne, fine dining and heritage in one seamless and carefully curated occasion. Relax within beautifully restored 1920s and 1930s Pullman carriages — complete with marquetry panels, crisp linen and attentive steward service — as the English countryside unfolds beyond your window.

At Blenheim Palace, enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent State Rooms, including the Great Hall, Saloon and 180-foot Long Library. Discover priceless tapestries, portraits by Van Dyck and Reynolds, and interiors of extraordinary Baroque splendour.

You will also have access to the rooms where Sir Winston Churchill was born in 1874, now home to a compelling exhibition tracing his life from soldier and parliamentarian to wartime Prime Minister and Nobel Prize-winning author.

Our September visit carries a quiet historical resonance. It was during September 1940, at the height of the Battle of Britain, that Churchill’s leadership proved pivotal in one of Britain’s most defining moments.

After time to stroll Capability Brown’s landscaped parkland, we return to the Pullman for a Champagne reception followed by a three-course dinner with sommelier-selected wines, arriving back at London Victoria early evening.

This is not merely a day trip, but a refined heritage experience combining British rail history, aristocratic grandeur and one of the most significant figures of the twentieth century.
