A live, hand-dived jumbo Loch Fyne scallop in its iridescent shell is one of Britain’s greatest luxuries. One glance at the deep half-moon, the plump ivory muscle, the coral still glowing sunset-orange, and you know this is something very special indeed.

So we are delighted to offer our Members the very finest of the season: jumbo king scallops (the largest grade available), hand-dived by a small fleet of veteran divers working the cold, clear waters of Loch Fyne. No dredging, no damage to the seabed, and, crucially, no compromise on size or flavour.

Each scallop is selected at the absolute peak of condition, measuring a magnificent 200-250 g in the shell—the sort of size you rarely see outside the very best Mayfair and Michelin tables. Thirty of these beauties will be delivered to your door. Thirty scallops per order—exactly the number required for a truly memorable dinner party: Six apiece for five fortunate guests, served simply seared in foaming garlic butter; or a majestic centrepiece of grilled scallops and lemon for eight; or indeed a decadent starter of scallop ceviche followed by roast halves in their shells with herb crumb.

Current retail pricing for live-in-shell jumbo hand-dived Loch Fyne scallops of this exact quality has reached £7.50 per scallop from specialist suppliers this season. CountryClubuk Members, however, enjoy rather more favourable terms of £5.30 per scallop including delivery by refrigerated van.

These scallops are strictly limited by the divers’ daily catch and the weather on the loch. When they are gone, they are gone until the next tide allows. We suggest you reserve swiftly—and prepare for something rather wonderful on the half-shell.
