Nestled in Saint-Laurent-Médoc on the very border of Pauillac and Saint-Julien, Château Larose Perganson boasts an enviable location: its 35 hectares of vines sit directly adjacent to the iconic vineyards of Château Latour, one of Bordeaux’s legendary First Growths.
This proximity to such exalted neighbours endows the estate with gravelly soils of exceptional quality—deep Gunzian and Pyrenean gravel that drains superbly and imparts classic Médoc structure and finesse.
Though classified as Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, Larose Perganson has a storied history that once saw it command prices akin to Classified Growths before the 1855 classification. Revived in the late 20th century under sustainable practices (the first European vineyard to achieve ‘exemplary’ status in sustainable development), the estate today produces wines that consistently punch far above their weight.
