Roseate House (The Royal Park), elegant Grade II townhouse in ‘quite the finest street’, overlooking Hyde Park: Rates from £159 for two with breakfast and free room upgrade

Set on the edge of Hyde Park, in Westbourne Terrace, W2—once described as ‘quite the finest street in London’—Roseate House is an elegant boutique hotel created from three Grade II listed townhouses.

Dating from 1842, the buildings have been totally restored and now have stunning interiors combining luxurious furnishings with the latest technology. The beds are perhaps an especially comforting feature of the rooms—hotels are first of all about a comfortable night’s sleep. The magnificent and airy four-poster and half-tester beds in most of the rooms are dressed with simple white linen fabrics. Handmade mattresses, crisp cotton sheets, soft woollen blankets and plump pillows all add up to the best night’s sleep in London.

There is also a very warm welcome: this, the former Royal Park, is an hotel which likes to do things properly.

The rooms are classically elegant, individually decorated, featuring French windows and original paintings. Throughout the building there are carefully selected antiques and the handmade embroidered linen fabrics create a homely feel. There is an elegant restaurant and lounge, an excellent destination bar and a private courtyard where you can enjoy al fresco drinks and refreshment—a welcome respite in summer.

Club rates start at from £159 for two in a Classic Double, from £179 in an Executive King and from £209 in a Four-Poster King Suite. Rates are plus VAT, but include Continental breakfast.

All Club rates include free Wifi, Nespresso coffee machine and tea facilities, homemade cookies and mineral water.
