The Hambledon Tweed Weekender is a classic in tweed and leather with brass fittings by Parker-Hale, the British rifle and shotgun specialists. Now that’s proper.
It is practical as you would expect from Parker-Hale: roomy yet convenient, tough enough to survive plenty of knocks. It looks good, nicely understated, and it is comfortable to carry. Squared-edge holdalls can be clunky to carry, but this Parker-Hale model has the just-right compromise: rectangular on the bottom, tapering up into a straight top which fits under your arm when carrying over your shoulder. That nameless-shape ensures the bag is as comfortable as possible.
It’s perfect for any smart trip, shooting and otherwise, since it is roomy enough to fit enough kit through its wide, expandable top opening. Handy internal pockets help organise and retrieve minor essentials.
The bag is well made in wool blend tweed, equipped with twin soft leather handles, again for comfortable carrying, and brass studs to protect the base.

The brand history:
Parker-Hale began manufacturing high quality precision shooting accessories in the heart of the gun-making quarter in the year 1880. The founder, A G Parker, was a well-known rifleman of the 1st Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment and recognised the need for the supply of shooting aids to his fellow rifles. The firm made shotguns as well as rifles and hand guns.
