A brace of cock pheasants, at dawn, in flight, compete for territory in Michael Simpson’s new limited edition bronze—a beautiful and natural sculpture which bursts with energy and life. Simpson is an accomplished sculptor, inspired by the Nature of his home country, the Staffordshire Potteries. He has an artist’s eye for the wildlife he sees around him, and this sculpture does the pheasants justice in every way. These are the males of their species doing what comes naturally—fighting over the right to a female harem.
