Leading international animalier sculptor Michael Simpson brings wild otters to life in bronze as they play together in his exquisite limited edition bronze sculpture, ‘Otters Swimming’. It is little wonder this is a Members’ favourite!

In this captivating small sculpture Simpson captures the fluid movement and the playful, inquisitive nature which makes these animals so endearing. It is pure joy in Nature—and a work of art to lift the spirits.

The piece is made in solid foundry bronze using the ancient method of lost wax casting. The design is finished by the art of patination where various acids are applied to the surface of the bronze and heat applied to create a deep rich brown patina. The bronze is then sealed with a special wax which further enhances the colour and protects the bronze for years to come.

Edition of 150. Dimensions: height 13.3cm, width 8cm, depth 6cm, weight 197g. This bronze arrives in a presentation box box with a signed certificate of authenticity and limited edition number.
