The shape of this season’s compelling knitwear demands a double-take: here, the designers at Westend have created a double-vision kimono-sleeve jacquard three-quarter coat in Donegal wool.
This wonderful yarn is woven by the only Donegal mill still working in Ireland: it is part of Irish history. As to the result, the fascinating colour and patterns give the impression of tweed with the elasticity and comfort of a knit, the darker lower tones are flattering, and the zip is very current. Warm it up by wearing a cosy roll-neck and trousers or jeans, or go it alone with skirts and leggings. It looks great either way.
