Stylish new three-piece pure wool tweed suit tailored by Magee of Donegal

A well-tailored three-piece tweed suit evokes a certain refined flair for any man. It is very well cut, it has superb line and balance—and the addition of smart matching tweed trousers and waistcoat to the tweed jacket adds real class as well as versatility. It has all the hallmarks of good tailoring, cut in 340g (12oz) pure wool ‘Donegal’ tweed which is medium weight and gives a distinctive character. The elegant two-button jacket is flatteringly slim-cut, with straight pockets and side vents, fully lined in burgundy. The trousers are plain front with a half lining for comfort and a proper drape. The waistcoat, again fully lined in burgundy, features three welt pockets, plus the essential collar and lapel—very smart, classic yet contemporary.

The three-piece suit has many advantages. First, it presents a neater apearance, concealing a rumpled shirt. Second, it stores modern paraphernalia (iPods et al) without destroying the line of your jacket. And, most important, a waistcoat is an excellent trimmer of the waistline. The three-piece suit is also eminently versatile—you can wear any of the pieces on their own.
