Here is a handsome tailored suit to lend a man real distinction. A faint shadow stripe in red is especially debonair in a navy pinstripe suit, since you barely notice the red but you do notice that the suit is ultra-smart, and somehow less predictable.
This elegant new navy pinstripe suit with its fine sky pinstripe and discreet shadow red stripe is beautifully designed and constructed by Magee 1866, cut from their fine, high-quality 340g (12oz) pure wool medium weight cloth. It is single breasted, two-button, with flapped and jetted slant pockets, breast pocket, lapel buttonhole and smart silky lining in which there are a multitude of pockets, including ticket pocket and secure wallet pocket. The beautifully cut trousers have all the classic tailoring details including a flat front and half lining for comfort and to give the essential elegant drape.
This suit is full of classic fine tailoring details—set out below—including hand stitching on the lapels and lining, and felt collar lining.

The critical things to get right are the three c’s—cut, construction and cloth. The resulting suit just looks good: close to the body, slim but not tight, no sagging shoulders nor bagginess. It was Beau Brummell who worked with the English fine cloth makers and tailors of London, setting rules in suit construction which still pertain. Hand stitching is a mark of quality; around the lapels, for example, it creates the perfect ‘roll’ to ensure the lapels lie flat. The more hand stitching, the better, important even when unseen, such as in the lining. The collar needs a felt lining to stabilise its line. Trousers should be half lined for quality of drape as well as comfort.
