We have been alerted by our Regent insider to a rare last-minute opportunity on a truly distinctive 2026 sailing: the Spotlight on Fabergé voyage aboard Seven Seas Grandeur, departing Rome (Civitavecchia) on 24 May and arriving in Southampton on 6 June 2026.
This 13-night journey stands out for its graceful Mediterranean-to-UK routing combined with a special cultural collaboration with the House of Fabergé, hosted by Sarah Fabergé — great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé and godmother to the ship herself. At the heart of the experience is the breathtaking “Journey in Jewels” Fabergé egg, the first ever created to reside permanently at sea and inspired by the colours and movement of the oceans. The itinerary strikes a particularly harmonious balance between iconic ports and generous time ashore. It begins in the Eternal City of Rome, where the timeless grandeur of the Colosseum and Vatican Museums (often with privileged access) gives way to the lively piazzas and charming streets of Trastevere. From there the ship sails north to Livorno, gateway to the Renaissance splendours of Florence and the leaning tower of Pisa, with included excursions inviting you to explore the Uffizi Gallery, Michelangelo’s David, or the rolling vineyards and olive groves of Chianti.
Next comes an extended stay in Monte Carlo with two glorious days and a night on the glittering French Riviera — perfect for strolling the rose-hued Prince’s Palace, admiring the Belle Époque architecture of the Casino de Monte-Carlo, or driving the famous Grand Prix circuit, with optional visits to hilltop villages such as Eze. The voyage continues to Barcelona for an overnight that allows ample time to lose yourself in Gaudí’s extraordinary architecture, from the Sagrada Família and Park Güell to the whimsical Casa Batlló, while also wandering the Gothic Quarter and La Boqueria market or taking a coastal drive.
After a relaxing day at sea the ship reaches La Coruña on Spain’s wild Atlantic coast of Galicia, where you can discover the UNESCO-listed Tower of Hercules, wander the elegant glass-balconied streets of the old town, or venture inland towards the sacred Camino de Santiago.
The final call is an overnight in Paris via Le Havre and Honfleur, offering a full day and evening to savour the City of Light with excursions to the Louvre, a Seine cruise, or the Impressionist landscapes of Normandy and the charming harbour that so inspired Monet, before the voyage concludes with a convenient arrival in Southampton.
