David Sautereau is the 10th generation of his family to make top-class Sancerre wines since 1683.

Consistently award winning, it is fresh and lively with dazzling fruit flavours, crisp and dynamic, with floral and fruit notes (candied lemon). It displays a tension that combines directness with appreciable finesse.

An aperitif to savour, this wine will go beautifully with fish and shellfish in most preparations—try white fish with a sage and butter sauce or simply grilled prawns—and match with creamy goat’s cheese, on its own, in a salad, or stuffed and cooked in green bell peppers. Michel Roux recommends drinking with skate-filled ravioli.
