Trophy—International Wine Challenge 2025

The best wine from the best English estate, Nyetimber 1086 vintage 2013 is a landmark sparkling wine—the first prestige cuvée ever produced in England. It won the Trophy, the top accolade, at the International Wine Challenge 2025 and sells at £195 a bottle, but for our Members it is £139 a bottle delivered.

Named in honour of the estate’s earliest recorded mention in the Domesday Book, 1086 represents the pinnacle of Nyetimber’s craftsmanship and is made only in exceptional vintages from the finest parcels of estate-grown fruit. Immediately excelling in blind tastings and receiving lavish critical praise, they have cemented Nyetimber’s place as a leader in the world of sparkling wine.

This 2013 vintage is a masterly blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, crafted using the traditional method and aged for nearly a decade on lees, allowing the wine to develop remarkable complexity, richness and poise. Aged further after disgorgement, it delivers a luxurious, vibrant expression of England’s winemaking potential.

Nyetimber 1086 is perfect for grand occasions or pairing with fine cuisine including caviar, lobster, turbot, scallops or oysters. A benchmark for English sparkling wine, Berry Bros & Rudd’s senior buyer named it ‘simply one of the best wines made on UK soil that I’ve ever tasted’.
