This ‘Morris Hammersmith’ silk tie is ideal to refresh your smart summer style. The William Morris ‘Hammersmith’ design, it takes inspiration from Morris’s Kelmscott House in Hammersmith, London, a Grade II listed Georgian House that was home to Morris between 1878 and 1896.

The original drawing was for an embroidery, possibly for a wall-hanging or a rug, with motifs of various conventionalised flowers, some of which are in the V&A. It makes a stylish tie in the hands of the silk art specialists Fox & Chave.
