Handmade sterling silver Spitfire fighter plane cufflinks by Martick

These sterling silver miniature replica Spitfire fighter planes put the pleasure back into cufflinks. The Spitfire—complete with cockpit and RAF insignia on each wing—is backed by a large silver propeller, each linked by a silver chain. Modern yet traditional, they make a superb gift for men of all ages, from RAF war veteran to a young man with flights of fancy.

The cufflinks are of course very British; they were designed and craftsman-made by Martick Jewellery, of Hatton Garden, London. Julie Martick founded the company in 1988, since when her collections have featured in designer shops including Harvey Nicholls, Joseph and Paul Smith. She uses traditional methods. Each piece of Martick silver has hours of handwork put into it, starting with the master patterns, the subsequent cire perdu castings, through to hand-soldering, finishing and polishing. The Spitfire is approximately half-an-inch long.

The cufflinks are hallmarked and will arrive in a smart gift presentation box.
