The pearls were chosen, and the necklace designed by our specialist pearl jeweller in the Hawaiian Islands. His aim was to synthesize romance, elegance and purity of form, finishing in diamonds and gold; and although this lovely necklace has all the classic refinement of the white pearl necklace, it produces a different illusion. This is pure couture—it works with every outfit, from classic to contemporary.
The necklace is slightly over 18in (46cm) long, the perfect length to show off these beautiful pearls with a dress, a suit, silk shirt or cashmere top—and bewitching with a low-cut neckline. The large pearls are each individually chosen by the jeweller, the strand slightly graduated to increase its natural elegance, hand strung and individually hand knotted—and there are 33 individual pearls in all, each with their unique, individual birthmarks to testify to their natural origins.
