Game bird doorstops by Dora Design: Gentleman Grouse

To celebrate the new grouse season we are happy to introduce this smart brace of cock grouse, which do us the excellent service of holding open the door while adding to the general gaiety of life. They are designed by Angela Stevens, who founded her rural studio Dora Designs to create a country-loving collection of animals and birds—she came up with the idea when she realised her parents’ doors were being propped open by piles of books!

Both these fine fellows add sporting character to a room, anywhere you like, from dining and living rooms to study or bedroom, gunroom, conservatory or den—and of course they set the perfect scene for any sporting home or lodge.

Smart and solidly made, the grouse is in red and black boucle fabric with a navy quilted waistcoat. They are filled with quartz sand to give the necessary weight to their primary role as a doorstop.
