This former Grange City hotel is a favourite for business—it is also right on the doorstep of some of London’s most interesting, historic and iconic sights. Its views across the River Thames, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are spectacular. And our exclusive rates include full English breakfast, free room upgrade (if available on arrival), free wifi and free access to the health club with its 20-metre swimming pool.
The Grange City is a popular contemporary hotel with City guests, including our Members, and it receives excellent reviews and repeat visits. So book midweek at your special Club rates—but also try the weekends starting from £99 plus VAT for two.
If, for instance, you have visiting guests who want to see the Tower of London (where we can arrange to view the Ceremony of the Keys), and such interesting City sights as St Katharine Docks, Borough Market, Petticoat Lane, Leadenhall and Spitalfields markets, the Monument, the Saxon church of All Hallows, the Barbican, Globe Theatre and City Hall—as well as being close to the Tube, river taxi and of course a cab to whisk you to Covent Garden and the West End—it’s ideal.
As to the hotel itself, it was purpose-built in 2002 and the guest rooms are contemporary, light, spacious and well appointed, with Bose music systems, LCD flatscreen TVs with satellite channels, climate control, safes and wifi, en-suite marble bathrooms and Ajala Spa toiletries. Executive rooms have seating areas and sofas. Some rooms overlook the river—so make a point of asking for those on high floors if you wish!
Booking through the Club at Members’ rates also gives you free access to the health club with gym, large swimming pool and Ajala Spa, and of course you can order 24-hour room service or enjoy the bars and restaurants.
Among spectacular City events which add to the interest of staying here aree the Royal gun salutes beside The Tower for HM The Queen’s Official Birthday and Trooping the Colour, and for HRH Prince Philip’s Birthday—exciting flourishes to that particular weekend. City-based events include the City of London Festival, which puts on concerts in historic buildings rarely open to the public, and the annual Lord Mayor’s Show in November).
Club rates are for two sharing and include full English breakfast, free room upgrade (if available on arrival), service, and free access to the health club and spa. Bookings are subject to availability.
