The Gentlemen—Guy Ritchie’s sumptuous new Netflix blockbuster—is focusing the nation’s attention on country-house style. It’s all about British country chic, with lashings of velvet and tweed—as in the scene where the fictional Susie Glass—whose drug empire is based in an Earl’s estate—wears one of the striking standout styles.

It’s a Really Wild red and white plaid coat which Susie (played by Kaya Scodelario) wears layered over a beige babydoll dress. It is stunning—vibrant, unstuffy, clearly on trend, with the quality and style for classic status, particularly as worn by Scodelario, styled by designer Loulou Bontemps, in what is already a cult show which will run and run.
