His experimental field blends in the wines he likes to call ‘level of Premier Cru’, are immensely impressive—some of the most fascinating white wines in the world. Deiss is not always in tune with other producers in the area, but the quality in the wines speaks for what he has achieved. Pure, precise and refreshing, with delicious minerality, Marcel Deiss’ Riesling is full of vibrancy and texture. This elegant 2016 offers zesty flavours of lemon, pineapple and peach, tangy acidity and great body. Yields are kept low in order to encourage a natural concentration in the wines, and only natural yeasts are used for fermentations. Delicious from release; potential to age for a few years.
