Ardbeg Uigeadail single malt whisky: best price for the finest ‘World Whisky of the Year’: case of six bottles delivered

£387.00

Named ‘World Whisky of the Year’ in connoisseur Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, Ardbeg Uigeadail takes its name from the mysterious loch which supplies the peat-laden water used to make Ardbeg. It has great balance, beautifully complemented by sherry. The name Uigeadail is Gaelic for ‘Dark and Mysterious Place’, and this cask-strength single malt whisky is also dark and mysterious, a true Islay malt with notes of peat and tar and a good helping of malt and smoked barley.
It has a very long finish, caramel and malt weaving their way through peat smoke and dark sugar and just a hint of espresso coffee.

It’s the perfect example of how sweet and savoury notes can work together spectacularly—you’ll find Ardbeg’s maritime salinity intact here, combined with dried fruit notes imparted by time spent in sherry casks, it results in something absolutely wonderful.
