The Baron’s prized rosé wine from Mount Etna: case of 12 bottles, only £119: currently unavailable

We are delighted to have secured a few cases of an especially prized dry rosé wine from a baronial family estate high on the slopes of Sicily’s live volcano, Mount Etna. Le Cantine Murgo’s rosé is highly sought after in Sicily, and our importer receives just a few cases of each vintage—so our Tasting Panel has snapped up a few cases for the Club Cellar to make sure Members don’t miss out.

The wine is made from rare grapes—Nerello Mascalese 90%, Nerello Mantellato o Cappuccio 10%—and it has a rare pedigree: it is made by Baron Emanuele Scammacca del Murgo, former Italian Ambassador and Foreign Affairs minister, who returned to his family’s traditional estate to concentrate on producing his family wines from vines—some original French varieties—on this extreme terroir.

2016 vintage. Case of 12 bottles. Free UK mainland delivery. RRP £180. CCUK Members £119.
