This is a wine not to miss! Château Larose Perganson vineyards march with the illustrious Château Latour—and it shows. The gorgeous 2014 vintage won the Gold Medal in the highly respected Sommelier Wine Awards—and it has been acclaimed by the connoisseurs.

Neal Martin for robertparker.com notes: ‘The 2014 Larose Perganson has a lifted, perfumed, floral bouquet with wilted violets infusing the dark cherry and blackcurrant fruit. The palate is supple in the mouth with good depth, a core of sweet black cherry and blueberry fruit matched with a keen line of acidity and impressive precision to the seductive finish . . . I like the panache displayed by this Haut-Medoc.’

All in all, Larose Perganson winemaker Frank Bijon is producing a Cru Bourgeois wine in the Haut-Médoc, on the borders of both Pauillac and St-Julien, which rivals the Classed Growths of the Médoc. In fact he produces consistently award-winning wines at a fraction of the price of his illustrious neighbours.

The 2014 is drinking beautifully now, it will cellar until 2030—and our Club Tasting Panel recommend it highly. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.
