Delicious, rich St-Emilion Bordeaux, Château La Bastidette 2017: case of 12 bottles: new vintage, still a great Members-only price: vintage sold out

We apologise, but this vintage is now sold out.
Finding a great St-Emilion Bordeaux wine at a big price is easy. Discovering a hidden gem of a St Emilion at a sensible price is painstakingly rare—but well worth the effort—and our Wine Tastiung Panel are excited to have tasted Château La Bastidette, made as a second wine on the great Château Chambrun estate.
The 2017 vintage has just arrived, and this Château La Bastidette is a ripe, fleshy, right-bank Bordeaux: rich, smooth, dense and pure red with an excellent finish. It is made from a one hectare parcel of 40-year-old Merlot vines from one of the most beautiful terroirs of the Right Bank.
The Château La Bastidette shows off a black colour with garnet-red tints. The nose is expressive, with blackcurrant and cherry aroma, mixed with vanilla, mineral and cedar notes. Concentrated and round in the mouth, with sweet red berries, liquorice and cedary spice, it is well balanced with a touch of freshness, a long, chocolatey finish, with silky tannins. Drink up to 10 years after release.
