Château de Beaucastel needs no introduction for our Members. It is one of the most celebrated estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It makes some of the most famous wines in the whole of the Rhône Valley, from a classic southern Rhône blend that includes Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, as well as the lesser-known Counoise and Cinsaut varieties.

This the 2008 Château de Beaucastel rouge is one of the few outstanding wines in the vintage, scoring an average of more than 91 points from the leading wine connoisseurs—which makes it a good time to enjoy the Rhone’s finest wine at a less eyewatering strain on the wallet—particularly at this exclusive Members-only price.
Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate) writes: ‘The 2008 Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape is one of the few outstanding wines produced in this vintage. More evolved than Beaucastel’s wines tend to be, it reveals a healthy dark plum/ruby color, notes of licorice, meat juices, smoked game, black currants and garrigue, medium to full body, silky tannins, good freshness, surprising depth for the vintage and a long finish. Drink it over the next decade.’
Case of three bottles: Non Members £270. CCUK £198 including UK mainland delivery.
