This fabulous wine is made by undoubtedly one of the finest estates in Gigondas. And because it is therefore outside the boundaries of the famous Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, the benefits to us of course are enormous—this Domaine des Bosquets 2017 from Gigondas is probably half the price it should be.

It is gloriously and typically rich, ripe and full of fruit, a wine of true strength of character shining through its saturated ripeness. The wine has layers and layers of structure and complexity. Its red berry flavours are beautifully balanced and it has a perfect tannic structure.

The wine is carefully made by the Brechet family on their 26-hectare estate near the Dentelles de Montmirail Mountains. Several important critics have rated the wine highly: Wine Spectator gave this 2017 vintage a score of 93 out of 100 and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate also awarded it 93 points. Wine Enthusiast ranked it a whopping 94/100.

Writes Jeb Dunnock (Robert Parker): ‘Don’t miss these incredible wines!’

Our Wine Tasting Panel recommend it highly to our Members. Grenache 60%, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Excellent with lamb, game, turkey, beef, quail and duck.
