This new Club Banquet Roasting Box contains a wonderful selection of larger roasting joints to ensure that you will be prepared for any occasion. No matter how many friends or family descend on the household, you will be ready with a delicious banquet of the finest roast meats.
The meats are all the very best of their kind, full-flavoured, organic, free-range and from traditional breeds, reared in Berwickshire by Amanda Cayley and Chris and Denise Walton at Peelham Farm. They do things properly, in the traditional style, with an all-grass system which really develops the flavours of their produce, as well as producing happy, healthy stock.
Their pork, for instance, is from Tamworths and Tamworth x Duroc —red, hairy, hardy, outdoor breeds of pig with excellent eating quality and a dark meat. The result is juicy and succulent, a far cry from the supermarket: our Banquet Box joints are real, deep-flavoured pork.
The Peelham lamb is from the hardy Lleyn British native breed, which do particularly well on their all-grass system. The result is excellent quality meat, the lacing of intramuscular fat creating a tender, moist roasting joint.
Peelham’s organic cattle are grass-fed all year to produce beautifully slow-fattened beef. They farm Aberdeen Angus and Luing (a native Scottish breed), which have excellent flavour and an even distribution of intra-muscular fat. The cattle graze the upland coastal pastures all year, other than over-wintering calving cows and young cattle sheltered in straw-bedded open barns. This succulent, marbled beef is a delight and will not fail to please your guests. Their organic ruby veal is from 8-10 month calves from the same herd of pasture-grazed Angus and Luing cross suckler cows: it is tender yet has a full flavour.
The Banquet Box contains: 1 x Double Loin of Pork on the bone (2kg); 1 x Rolled Belly of Pork (1.5kg); 1 x Leg of Lamb on the bone (2kg); 1 x Sirloin of Ruby Veal on the bone (2kg); 1 x Rib of Beef on the bone (2kg). Total weight 9.5kg.
