Alexandrite and White Gold Ring from London’s Hatton Garden

£2,275.00

This contemporary ring showcases a rare gemstone: a beautiful natural alexandrite. It is a magnificent jewel. In daylight it glows deep green with a brown hue, yet it has the unique ability to change colour, turning a rich red in incandescent light—making it one of the most valuable gemstones of all. The first crystals were discovered in emerald mines in the Urals on the day the future Tsar came of age, hence its name and its place as the national stone of Imperial Russia. This fine alexandrite gemstone weighs a little more than 2 carats and has been beautifully cushion cut by hand to allow the eye to travel deep into the gem. High quality diamonds encrust the shoulders, F in colour and VS in quality, mounted on 18ct white gold, fully hallmarked. The alexandrite stone carries an independent gemological warranty.

RRP £5,550. CCUK £2,275. Save £3,275.
