A Rare and Beautiful Large Natural Green Garnet ‘Tsavorite’ Gemstone Showcased in This Stunning New Diamond and 18 Carat Ring from London’s Hatton Garden
Not all garnets are as abundant as the red ones. A green garnet, tsavorite, is much more rare, because it needs such unusual rock chemistries and special conditions to form. It is also stunningly beautiful—one of the most beautiful of the green gems—its colour almost that of emerald, and yet with a fabulous glittering clarity which only the most expensive of emeralds can achieve: and here in this strikingly beautiful natural tsavorite is a marvellous natural green garner gem which really ‘speaks’ to the viewer.
And the international jewellery designer who designed and created this fabulous ring has also created an unusual and beautiful setting of diamonds which seem to hold this beautiful gem with a light touch—two flowing lines of diamond-set gold clasping their gem in asymmetric lines. It is a real work of art.
The tsavorite is oval brilliant cut and a full 1.55 carats. The diamonds. .39 carats in total, are F/G in colour, and therefore almost colourless, and VS in clarity, so that they are flawless to the eye. The setting measures 11mm across, the tsavorite measures approximately 8mm by 6.5mm.
This is a rare and unusual ring from London’s fine jewellery centre, Hatton Garden, and one which a connoisseur of fine jewellery will treasure.
It is fully hallmarked in England and carries a valuation certificate for insurance purposes at the full retail value of £5,550. For CountryClubuk Members the price is just £2,475.
