Gadget review: Aquapac waterproof iPhone case: brilliant piece of kit: best price

£17.00

When wading a salmon river, shooting game or the rapids, racing a yacht or riding a race, hunting, skiing, farming, working dogs, walking in the countryside or snorkelling in the Maldives, the waterproof Aquapac case means you can keep your phone with you—totally dry, safe and fully operational.

The great thing is that everything works normally through the soft, high-tensile TPU case, including capacitive touchscreens, so you can surf the web, use the camera or video, and make and receive phone calls: you can talk and hear without a problem.

The case remains 100% watertight at up to 10 metres (30ft) depth—it is so tough your phone can survive a carwash or a washing machine—and if you drop your phone in water it floats—just leave extra air in the case at the start. It also works in dust, dirt, snow, sand, oil and whatever else you could accidentally throw at your device.

The Aquapac is simple to use: the Aquaclip which does the work is a patented, ultra-secure, rustproof, injection-moulded plastic seal which opens and closes with a twist of two levers, and everything stays in one piece even when open. It comes with an adjustable lanyard, so you can wear it round your neck. Our testers raved about this gadget; once tried it became an essential piece of kit they wondered how they managed without.

It is made in the UK, carries a five-year warranty and takes all phones up to iPhone6 Plus size, including Samsung Note 4.

Case measures approximately 10.5cm x 17cm. Waterproof rating IFX8 Submersible. Total weight, including lanyard, 45g (1.5oz).

RRP £25 plus delivery. CCUK £17 with free UK delivery.
