The Llao Llao Hotel was built in 1940 at the height of Argentina’s Belle Epoque, a large, impressive resort created from huge cypress logs and the green stone that is typical of the region. Llao Llao is of course an excellent destination for skiing in the Patagonian winter: nearby Cerro Catedral is one of the major ski resorts in Argentina, offering 67 km of glorious slopes of various difficulties, reaching 2.000 metres above sea level. There are options for all ski disciplines, including off-piste. During the season—July and August—the hotel provides free transfers to Cerro Catedral.
When to Go
Go at any time, but Argentina’s summer (December to February) is mild and sunny and winter (July and August) are ski season.

LAN and Aerolineas Argentinas fly nonstop to Bariloche from Buenos Aires. Flying time 2 hours 20 minutes.
