Striking limited

A fox flushes a cock pheasant—a
moment in time, beautiful and evocative, caught for
ever by an artist in bronze. This stirring limited

by the traditions of his home country, the Staffordshire
Potteries, Michael Simpson has a master’s eye
for the wildlife he sees around him. Here, he catches
the fox springing up to capture its prey, the pheasant
feathers caught in its teeth—or perhaps the
pheasant gets away—the question remains ...

any room—and be coveted by all Nature lovers
and sportsmen. The edition is limited to 150 pieces
and stands 7 1/2in (190mm) tall. It is 575g in weight.

Precious emerald
and diamond Art Deco ring: £1,205 off |
The best rubies are from Burma,
sapphires from Kashmir—and the finest emeralds
are from Colombia, which is where the stunning emerald
in our new ring was mined. This fabulous natural emerald
is very fine—and a superb colour, a true deep
green emerald weighing more than half a carat.
The precious step-cut emerald has
been given the classic setting it deserves—a
pure Art Deco style showcase of 10 high-quality diamonds,
six of them baguette cut and four corner cut to create
the stunning octagonal shape, all beautifully hand-set
in 18ct white gold with an 18ct yellow gold frame
to set off the emerald to maximum effect. It is a
work of art, typical of the attention-seeking yet
stylish creations by the master jewellers of the 1920s
and ’30s. This is a ring that demands attention!
Emeralds have had a fascination
all down the ages. The Egyptians placed them in pyramids
to denote eternal youth. The Romans believed they
brought fertility. The Incas worshipped them (and
the Spanish Conquistadores stole them). Philosophers
have long considered that they bring wisdom and growth
to the wearer—which is why they are the quintessential
stone of love and devotion (and the anniversary stone
for both 20th and 35th wedding anniversaries).
This ring is one which our diamond
jeweller regards as being particularly desirable.
The emerald is a joy. The diamonds are .65 carats
in weight, 'G' in colour and SI in quality. The ring
is fully hallmarked in England and carries an insurance
certificate at the proper retail price of £2,900,
although through the Club it can be bought for just
£1,695. If you wish to surprise the lady, and
do not know her ring size, it can be adjusted after
presentation, free of charge.
Code ER01JK02. RRP £2,900.
CCUK £1,695. Saving £1,205. One only.

Sublime foie gras
deal from the great Edouard Artzner |

Foie gras, a favourite food since
the time of the Pharoahs, turns a summer lunch or
dinner party into a feast. Simply spoon it out and
serve with fresh brown bread and wine—voila! It must be the best, of course, and our new Club foie
gras specialist is the great Edouard Artzner. It is
also a snip—the price of all foie gras through
the Club is simply unbeatable.
Founded in 1803, the oldest producer
in France, Edouard Artzner served foie gras to the
French royal family, among others. Now Christophe,
an Edouard Artzner connoisseur, has chosen his favourite
foie gras for our Members—the styles which he
and his family serve regularly. It tastes wonderful—rich
and smooth, with lingering depth and finesse.
Christophe’s selected Goose
Foie Gras Entier en Gelée is a fine way to
enjoy the pleasures of fresh foie gras any time you
wish. This glorious Goose Foie Gras Entier with wine-scented
jelly is the Foie Gras of Alsace par excellence,
its rich taste both subtle and delicate. It is produced
by preserving the goose liver in its own fat in a
glass jar, with a light, delicate seasoning. The texture
of the liver becomes dense yet silky and buttery.
Christophe has also chosen Foie
Gras de Canard Entier en Gelée, the whole duck
foie gras with its rustic taste and melting texture,
which some gourmets prefer. Both are delicious. They
are taken from whole livers and cooked, ready to serve
instantly—the ultimate haute cuisine
standby for unexpected guests and a discerning gift
for your favourite gourmand.
The Club Edouard Artzner Foie Gras
Hamper contains two glass kilner jars of 120g of Goose
Foie Gras Entier en Gelée and two of Foie Gras
de Canard Entier en Gelée (a total 480g). Each
jar serves 3-4 and keeps, unopened, for two years.
Code FG05EA01. Non–members £86. CCUK £67.

Gras Hamper, or call us on 020 7935 0888.
